A Flea market vase [ DIY project ]

When I saw this not-so-good-looking vase, I saw it immediately in WHITE. So this only 5€ flea market vase came home and got a new color ;) Those wooden branches I'm collected from the outside and dipped on the paint bottle.

All my own stuff are very cheap, just re-made myself for my own taste. I love mixed style where is new and old, industrial style and in the future also little bit ethnic touch.

I'm so in love for package design. Here in The Netherlands you can find so great package design just from normal food market. Look at this sugar! So simple and so stylish!

E-letter [DIY project]

In the Last Autumn I won 100€ Facebook Giveaway to Vivre Interieur Authentique store (they have btw new website now!) and I went pick up this E-letter. It was red colored like on the last photo, but yesterday I decide paint it to same Chalkboard black as my O-letter. But I wanted save white body so I just painted only red part of it. And I'm sooo happy. I like of it much much much more now! I jut should try to find right place for it at home ;) I try to collect a word of my letters, but still need some before I can put them to the wall as a word.

I'm in Dreamdo. It's like "Dreaming Facebook". Just perfect for me! People in there share their dreams. Just dreaming of the dreams or started to doing them and no matter how many dream you have! And waht the best - you can follow others dreams. A-m-a-z-i-n-g an idea!!!

Dreamdo has now campaign about very first Doday event. And I wanted make it of course - 2 hours the smallest living room seminar in the world. So I'm going to have it here at my home on the 28th of March with theme PASSION. Unfortunately only in Finnish language this time. Here in Amsterdam is many people from Finland ;) Dreamdo make this first Doday seminars with Finnish woman magazine Olivia.

BLACK day - part II [DIY project]

UPDATE: O-letter is now BLACK!

I'm had here the Black day with painting items to the black. Now my Landlord's old, light yellow cabinet got new life at my home with those black items! Great example how you can fit someone else furniture for your own taste just by styling.

I decide, that I have to do something also for my red-white E-letter...

Update 2nd: I bought this O-letter last summer from Spoor38 - a-m-a-z-i-n-g industrial store!

BLACK day - part I [Work project]

I working here some new concept photos for El Ramla Hamra and I looooove to do that! I got an idea to paint one of the Moroccan trays to the BLACK! I'm so in love for this BLACK tray that it's going to stay at my home - indeed! 

Let's see later how I'm used this black tray on El Ramla Hamra's photos ;)

Grey bowl [DIY project]

I found this brown ceramic bowl last Saturday from the flea market by 1,50€! In same evening it got new light grey color. Looks totally different and how cheap! I just painted it by my grey paint color what I already have at home.

My balcony [Home project]

I have really nice little little balcony with double doors (what I love!). Condition it's still after winter time, but I have some plans for it. For me could be just enough that there is some green plants and I can keep those double doors open to the living room. I want something simple, but stylish.

I got stylish idea, what's solve out all - growing bags! I know these Bacsac bags, but there is no black color what I really want to my balcony. Black with green is a fresh combination!  I know that I could find some "non-growing" black plastic bags somewhere, but I wondering if them keep color in sunlight...maybe I should just try.

 

Pouf's stitch color problem ;)

When I saw this Pinterest photo, where stylist has been Femke Pastijn and Photographer Dennis Brandsma, I notice immediately pouf and thought WOW, may my new pouf's stitch should be black?!? It looks more fresh and match maybe more better for my home.

So I strated try to find pouf with black stitch. I found one from Bohemia webshop, lighter one is from Boho Morocco webshop. May I should go for black stitch pouf, because I have this another, bigger pouf at my home, so they will match then to same room or is it too strong... Where I could find exactly like on the Pinterest photo? It could be perfect. This square pouf is like dining table size and now I try to find smallest around my coffee table.

                                      

Raw Materials The Home Store

I went yesterday at Raw Materials The Home Store here in Amsterdam, where I'm going to keep one of my workshop. A-m-a-z-i-n-g place, really! I could live there! No matter that I have white home myself, I also love mixed raw style a lot! They are also in Pinterest!

Wellness photos

Today I made some promotional photos for my future workshop - Wellness & Feeling. I used black painted wooden background, magazine with effective wellness pages, Room Perfume bottle (it was empty so I put to it Olive oil bringing perfect colour!), sandals, some different photo angles and natural light + of course photo editing like always.

One day...

White Moroccan pouf

My next items in my decorate shopping list are 2 white Moroccan leather pouf. I'd like to put them around my large coffee table in living room. I like the mixed feeling with my white army steel boxes and industrial lamp.

New colour for O letter

My blue O letter not match to the new home. I should choose new colour for it.

I have a red modern kitchen and exactly same red E letter, but I'm not so red colour fan that I would add more red to my home. So I was think about black...?? I have little bit black also in my Home Office and it match well with wooden cabinet. The place where I'm going to put O letter, is also wooden furniture, so I think it should be black... So I'm going to spray it by matt black colour.

Lubins - my industrial lamps

I love mixed style home where is old, little bit new and industrial styles. I've 2 industrial lamps from 360volt.com which match perfect way to the new home. Those Lubin's are 85cm high and originally dark grey coloured, but I painted them to the white by Hema's white "ground paint", what's my favourite matt white colour and cost only 10€.

Rooms here are 3,2 meters high and it's funny how "small" those lamps looks here. If I compare my former home where we made some concept photos for El Ramla Hamra. 

BTW my former home hadn't this amazing Moroccan tile floor - we just styled dining table area with those lovely tiles from Design Tegels. One great example how full white furniture and accessorises match with some grey tones.

My new home in Amsterdam

Here we are been, only one week, at new home - me and my 2 old dogs and we love it! Nothing isn't ready yet. Decorating takes always time. This is my 3rd Amsterdam home. I moved almost 2 years ago from Helsinki to Amsterdam. I just wanted change my life. And it's happened!

I'm going to tell about my furniture. Them all has a story. How I'm found them or why I did chosen them.
